Empowering Visually Impaired Children for a Brighter Tomorrow

At NAB Himachal Pradesh (NAB HP), we work to change the lives of visually impaired children by giving them access to education and opportunities to grow. Since 1997, our mission has been to help every child live a life of dignity, independence, and endless possibilities.

Headquartered in Kullu, the organization offers various services, including hostel facilities, educational support, and participation in sports such as blind cricket and other para-sports.

We also provide training in technology to blind individuals, equipping them with skills for independent living and employment.

NAB Himachal Pradesh actively engages in community events to promote inclusivity.

Projects

Hostel for Visually Impaired Students

We have hostel facilities for both girls and boys. With a total capacity of 35 children. No fees are charged for the hostel from any student. The hostel is only for children of age group 6-18 years.

Special School for Visually Impaired (up to 5th Standard)

We run a special school for VI children till 5th standard where we prepare the children for integrated setup. The education is free of cost whatsoever.

Integrated Unit with Mainstream Children

After 5th standard the children go to integrated educational setups to study in mainstream schools with mainstream children. and after the school hours resource classes are held for them at NAB HP state branch.

Data Entry Operator Course (Divyangjan) for VI Individuals

We run a Skill Council of India Certified Data Entry Operator Course (Divyangjan) for VI (blindness) individuals under Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) PM-DAKSH
